Testimonies from the 2009 Retreat

TESTIMONY:
I had grown up with multiple types of abuse. As a result I have been diagnosed with PTSD. I have suffered from depression, despair, suicidal thoughts, as well as physical illness.
I signed up to attend the 2009 Aglow retreat because some other ladies from our Tulsa Aglow Lighthouse encouraged me to go. I went to please them, but only because I knew it was my habit to run when I get scared. I listened to our retreat speaker, Dr. Sandra Clifton, as she shared that she had once had the same hopelessness in her life and then God filled her with joy and peace as she trusted him with her life and decisions. I wondered if there were really a possibility of God ever filling me with that kind of joy and peace. After the service was over, I saw three ladies sitting on the alter talking, and I heard God say, "Ask those ladies to pray for you." They did pray and one of them came against the spirits of depression, suicide, and self-hatred. She ten asked me to tell the spirits to go. When I spoke and told them to leave, I felt a release that I had never felt before. The ladies told me that joy was going to come out of me. I had not truly belly laughed in most of my adult life so thought they were crazy. Later I testified to everyone present that I was free, something more happened inside. I was able to worship freely. I started laughing, screaming and dancing in the Spirit. I could not stop it, so I knew it was real. I am so excited that God delivered me and filled me with joy. I know I don't ever have to go back to the way I was, because I AM FREE!

TESTIMONY:
The worship was really awesome at this retreat. There was one session in particular where the Lord shop up so strong that multiple ladies were getting 'drunk' in the joy of the Lord!

TESTIMONY:
I cannot imagine anyone NOT receiving from the Lord; it was an awesome outpouring of the Holy Spirit. There was such an open heaven at retreat!!!
